Crop and Flower Harvest 2021 are in full swing…..yay!!! Bringing in the crop equals extra busy days on the farm, which inspired the following comments:
Not long ago a scene like this in my house would have completely stressed me out. I still have stuff on my steps from our on-farm experience on Sunday, flower clipping are all over the table, and I’ve been too busy to prepare a proper place to dry flowers, so wall decor it is. In the last couple of years I’ve noticed that perfectionist tendencies steal my peace.
As a result, I’m learning to release that expectation for myself, and “extend grace” to myself as much as possible. Rather than striving for the unattainable goal of perfection, I am free to enjoy the process of doing my work well. It also allows me to embrace other perspectives such as: this short term mess symbolizes new opportunities, and the gifts of fall harvest! Happy Fall!
Barns & Blooms is family business that produces beautiful cut flowers on their 5th generation dairy farm. Shannon Kuball has loved flowers since she was a little girl and recently decided to share her joy of flowers with others.
